I provide wellness counseling in a comfortable and supportive office as well as by phone or skype. I also regularly teach workshops and retreats centered around mindfulness meditation, silence, presence and yoga. My approach honors your “whole person” – physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual. I believe that with compassionate guidance you can learn to live more fully. All people have a natural tendency toward health and vital wholeness. Unfortunately, this tendency can become blocked, for any number of reasons, causing us discomfort in our everyday lives and relationships. I am happy to offer support and guidance to help you move past whatever is holding you back into a more fulfilling life. My highly personalized approach is tailored to your individual needs to help you attain the clarity, understanding and balance you are striving for. Individual Sessions: Using any or all of the skills listed below. I meet privately with people who may be experiencing anxiety, stress, insomnia, worry, depression or loss, as well as those who need support and guidance in navigating life’s many transitions. Private sessions may also be booked to explore how mindfulness practices can assist you in balancing your life or to learn or expand a meditation or spiritual practice.
Individual Relaxation and Yoga Nidra Sessions: One and 1/2 hour sessions for incredibly deep relaxation and the healing and transformational guided meditation practice that is Yoga Nidra.
Phone or Skype Consultations: I offer 30-minute or hour-long sessions for those who are not able to come to my office or those who simply have this preference. You may give me a call or send a “contact” note using the link at the bottom of the page. I am happy to offer a 10-15 minute free consultation to explore whether we are a good match.
Personal Retreats: I enjoy offering retreats in the beautiful N. Georgia mountains. Whether for 2 days or a week. I am able to integrate any or all of my specialties into a program most suited to where you are in your life and what will best help you become more balanced and joyful. In addition to the services listed here, I may also suggest topics for inquiry, instruction for meditation or self-reflection, or ideas for journaling or other creative expressions to help you on your journey.
I’m happy to have recently partnered with Elohee Retreat Center, a beautiful sanctuary just around the corner from where I live and work. You’re invited to stay at the center in gorgeous accommodations on a mountaintop complete with a natural pond and hot tub, miles of hiking trails ad spa and farm-to-table freshly prepared meals. I will meet with you there for sessions that we design for your specific needs prior to your arrival. Depending on your room choice, an average all-inclusive week-end retreat with 3 hour-long sessions with me would cost between $550 and $700. The Center is available on many week-ends and some extended stays depending on availability.
Or…Option 2: You may choose a nearby place to stay such as a B & B or cabin rental and meet with me at my office for our time together. Mindfulness Meditation, as well as Mindfulness in Daily Life – I will teach you how to open to this powerful, present-moment awareness that allows you to be more calm, spacious and awake in all aspects of your life. I offer individual instruction, group classes, and day-long or weekend retreats.
Integrative Yoga Session: Integrative Yoga blends the wisdom of Yoga with psychology, mind/body techniques, breath-work and mindfulness to address specific issues such as insomnia, anxiety, depression or chronic pain or stress. Each session is individually tailored to the needs of the client.
Quit Smoking Program: Moving away from your daily routine and environment into a place of ease, comfort and support will greatly enhance your success in becoming smoke-free for good. My holistic program offers a combination of counseling, hypnosis, relaxation, breathing lessons, meditation and mindfulness teachings.
As a psychotherapist and wellness counselor for more than 35 years, I am also certified in Integrative Yoga Therapy and hypnosis. An ex-smoker myself, for more than 20 years I have helped many others give up the habit individually, in groups and corporate settings, in collaboration with the American Lung Association and on retreats.
